I am an artist and art teacher.
I make drawings which are often inspired by nature, and I love themes like transience and transformations. I love to create intimate and poëtic settings.
I draw mostly in black and white, using the thinnest fineliners, with which I cross-hatch: I draw small diagonal lines, which are placed close together or on top of each other. With this technique I make my drawings come to life with only one color: black. I add subtle nuances to my drawings with a black pencil. It is a very time-consuming process, but I guess being a perfectionist isn't about time.

Ik ben kunstenaar en kunst docent.
Ik maak tekeningen die veelal geïnspireerd zijn door de natuur, en ik werk graag met thema's als vergankelijkheid en veranderingen. Ik houd ervan om intieme en poëtische beelden te creëren.
Ik teken voornamelijk in zwart-wit. Met potlood, óf met dunne fineliners, waarmee ik arceer: schuine lijnen die dicht bij elkaar, of over elkaar heen worden gezet. Met deze techniek kan ik mijn tekeningen tot leven laten komen met slechts één kleur: zwart. Het is een tijdrovende manier van tekenen, maar als perfectionist vind ik het tempo minder belangrijk dan het resultaat.
Ik vind het leuk als je contact met me opneemt, als je vragen hebt!
